Brunei Darussalam Cricket Association has pioneered a form of coaching in Asia known as 'Level 0' - the basics for the base.

I am thrilled to see the sunshine of cricket in Negara Brunei Darussalam, the sport that has been passion of mine since my early teen years. It has been wonderful to watch the game of cricket in the country getting popular and stronger over the past few years. More and more locals are now showing keen interest in the game.


At the same time, I understand the challenges we have in the years ahead but those challenges are what excite and motivate me. As BDCA's management team, we must consistently demonstrate integrity and a commitment to excellence and the community we serve. I look forward to working with the Association's great team to make 2009 a successful year and create a land mark for 2010 and beyond.

I believe any sport is good for the development of youths in terms of individual development. And in particular cricket teaches discipline, team work, patience and sharing. So, I encourage more and more youths to join this great sport.


I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Department of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Education for their continuing support and encouragements in building cricket as one of the choices of youths of this country.


I am sincerely grateful to Asian Cricket Council and International Cricket Council for all out support in promoting and developing the game of cricket in Brunei Darussalam. Without them we would not be where we are today.
